High Intensity OSHC Initiative

Diamond Valley SDS has been selected to take part in the Victorian Government’s High Intensity OSHC initiative. This means that commencing in Term 1 2024, a third-party provider TheirCare will be delivering an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program free of charge for children attending Diamond Valley SDS. The program will provide after school care from 3:00pm to 6:00pm each school day (excluding pupil free days) and school holiday programs from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

The High Intensity OSHC program provides children and young people with disability access to fit-for-purpose care at a staffing ratio that meets their needs, whilst offering a wide range of engaging activities, incursions and excursions. Staff working in the OSHC program are trained and will work closely with the school and families to understand the needs, interests, and strengths of each participating child and tailor the program to them.

Families who are interested in registering for the program or would like to learn more are encouraged to visit www.theircare.com.au and hit the book now icon. There will be an option for you to create a new account and select Diamond Valley SDS from the dropdown menu. Once a registration is received, the Diamond Valley SDS OSHC team will reach out to schedule an enrolment discussion, following which your child can be booked into the service.

If you have any questions about how to register, please reach out to the TheirCare Customer Service Team at [email protected] or call them on 1300 072 410 on weekdays between 6:30am and 8:00pm.

TheirCare have been delivering high quality OSHC programs in specialist schools since 2019 and we look forward to partnering with them on the delivery of this exciting new initiative.
